Kelingking Secret Point, Bali

One of the most memorable places from my trip to Bali was Kelingking Beach on Nusa Penida. It had the most amazing views. Every single picture I saw on Instagram and Pinterest did it no justice. It was even more beautiful in person.

If you visit Bali, this is a definite MUST.

Nusa Penida is just a short fast boat ride from Sanur, on the East coast of Bali. About 30 minutes away and you’ll be at Nusa Penida. Some can make it into just a day trip. But, I recommend staying at least one night.

Kelingking view point is known as the “t-rex”… because of it’s shape. From the top, you can see the entire “t-rex” and the beach. For the daredevils, you can go all the way down to the beach. The pathway is a bit sketchy! There are warning signs all around urging people not to go down. The railing on the pathway down is made of wooden poles tied together with rope. Not very sturdy….. I made it about half way down and the wind started to pick up and I couldn’t gather the courage to venture further. Next time, I may just scale all the way down!

The views from all over are amazing… so, don’t feel like you’re missing out if you don’t make it all the way down to the beach.

If you’re not so confident renting a motor bike… the best way to see the island is to hire a driver for either a half day or a full day. You can plan the itinerary with the driver and together can come up with a fixed rate.

Again, if you don’t have a lot of time in Bali… just be sure to at least add Kelingking Beach to your itinerary. You will leave with the best memories and the most amazing pictures!

Happy traveling!
